Lighting for Beginners: Studio Edition

£150.00

This full-day, hands-on workshop is designed to help you understand and confidently use studio lighting. In a supportive studio environment, you’ll move beyond theory and spend the day learning how to set up, shape, and control light in a practical, repeatable way.

Working in a small group of up to eight participants, you’ll photograph professional models and practise across at least four different lighting setups. Each setup is broken down step by step, with clear explanations of why it works and how you can recreate it on your own shoots.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Understand the basics of studio lighting equipment and modifiers

  • Confidently set up and position studio lights

  • Learn how light direction, distance, and modifiers affect your images

  • Be able to recreate at least four different studio lighting setups

  • Gain experience working with models in a studio environment

  • Feel confident using studio lighting independently after the course
